Approximately 70 people have gathered outside the gates of Dundrum House this morning following confirmation that a number of International Protection Applicants will arrive here at some stage today.

The hotel is being used to house Ukrainian refugees with 277 being housed – but in late May it was announced the hotel would now become a dual purpose building meaning it would house IPA’s as well as Ukrainians.

It was announced that 70 Ukrainians would leave to make way for IPA’s.

A number of road closures are in place around Dundrum House this morning as the first of these IPA’s is set to arrive.
