Tipperary motorists who illegally park in disabled parking bays will soon be facing much bigger fines.

The members of Clonmel Borough District were briefed on the changes at last nights monthly meeting of the authority.
From next month the penalty will almost double for drivers who use the blue space without having the proper permit.
Manager of the Tipperary branch of Family Carers Ireland and County Councillor Richie Molloy has welcomed the increase.
