Tipp’s hurlers ‘will require a much better performance’ against their second round qualifier opponents next weekend.

They overcame Westmeath yesterday 2-18 to 15 points, with what their manager described as a below-par performance.

Tipperary can be drawn against any one of Dublin, Waterford or Kilkenny – the winner of next weekends games face the provincial runners-up in the All-Ireland Quarter finals.
