The UK’s voters have returned a hung Parliament following the general election.

The Conservatives, although the biggest party, cannot now win an overall majority.

The predicted results mean Prime Minister Theresa May is facing calls to stand down – but she says she’s staying to provide stability.

In the North, the SDLP and the UUP have lost all their seats in Westminster at the expense of the DUP and Sinn Fein.

The DUP gained two seats and their 10 MPs could now form part of a hung parliament.

Sinn Fein was the other clear winner claiming 7 seats.

Despite losing all three of their seats in Parliament the SDLP Leader Column Eastwood says he’s not making any rash decisions.

Meanwhile, the election result’s casting uncertainty on Brexit negotiations.

Germany’s deputy foreign minister Michael Roth has warned time can’t be wasted in the talks, which are due to start in 10 days.

But a German European Commissioner says it’s unclear whether they’ll now be able to begin on time.
