Hospital overcrowding at record high

The number of people on hospital trolleys has hit 631 – the highest recorded this year.

University Hospital Limerick – which provides Emergency Department cover for North Tipp – is the most over-crowded with 55 patients waiting for a bed.

According to the INMO 30 people who have been admitted to South Tipp General in Clonmel are being cared for on trolleys this afternoon.
