University Hospital Limerick is one of the most overcrowded in the country today.
The facility – which provides Emergency Department cover for North Tipperary – has 57 patients without a bed.

Just Cork University Hospital is busier today with 59 people on trolleys.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 22 patients without a bed at South Tipp General today – one of these is under the age of 16.
In all there are 621 people being cared for on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
