Approval has been granted for additional classroom space at Newport College.
An application was recently reviewed by officials within the Department of Education and Skills.

The school, which is under ETB remit, were looking for 4 prefab units – 3 of which would perform a classroom function, with one toilet block.
However, approval in principle has been granted for 3 modular general classrooms – each of which will include en-suite toilets.
This approval is to meet the immediate accommodation requirements of the North Tipp school.
