Part of the former Gleeson’s site in Borrisoleigh has a new owner.
Shannon Transport has purchased the Green Lawn facility from C&C in what’s set to breathe a new lease of life into the area.

Among their clients are Diageo, Nestle, Kelloggs and the Kerry Group
When the site went on the market it was looked at as a possible location for housing development.
However local TD Michael Lowry was always keen to see it continue to operate as a manufacturing or business site if at all possible.
He says having Shannon Transport come on board is a very positive step in a number of ways.
