Brian Gleeson will captain Ireland’s U20 rugby team for the final time on Friday.
The Loughmore man wears the armband for Ireland’s third place play-off tie against New Zealand on Friday at the World Rugby U20 championship.
Gleeson lines out at number 8 for Willie Faloon’s side who are hoping to end their campaign on a winning note, following their semi-final loss to England last weekend.
The Tipperary man will be over age for the U20 grade next year.
Kick-off in Cape Town on Friday is at 3.30pm Irish time.
