Gardaí in the Premier County are offering some safety tips to the public as the dark evenings settle in.
Officers from Tipperary Town are advising people to wear high visability clothing when out and about during hours of darkness.

The appeal was issued in particular to those walking or exercising outdoors over the winter.
They also recommend that valuables in cars should not be left in clear sight and that doors are locked to protect against theft.
