Gardaí continue to appeal for information on Nenagh murder

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses who might have been in the St Joseph’s Park area on Nenagh over the weekend to come forward.

Popular 89-year-old local woman Joan Ray was found dead at lunchtime on Sunday.

It’s believed that her killer may have been known to her.

Anyone who was in the area that morning or Saturday night may have information that could help the investigation.

Inspector Aiden Lonergan is asking those people to contact the local station.

Joan will be laid to rest in Killodiernan Graveyard tomorrow following Requiem Mass in St Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh.
