The bar has been closed for the last two years.

According to the Sunday Independent if it is to reopen senior Gardaí say the premises finances will have to be above board and operated in a fully transparent manner.

Assistant Commissioner Fintan Fanning recently proposed that the bar at the Templemore training college should remain permanently closed – however it’s since emerged that Gardaí have applied for a new liquor licence.
