Funeral for Tipperary woman killed in collision takes place today

The Tipperary woman who was killed in a collision in Carlow this week will be laid to rest this afternoon.

Denise O’Meara of Ballingear, Portroe, died after a collision involving a car and a van on the N80 in Ballintrane just before 6pm on Monday evening.

A woman in her thirties and a teenage girl were also killed in road crashes in County Tipperary earlier this year.

Requiem Mass for Denise will take place in St Mary’s Church, Portroe at 12 noon before she is laid to rest in Castletown Graveyard, Castlelough.
