Former Cahir Superintendent to take up acting Assistant Commissioner role

A former Superintendent in Cahir has been appointed to the third highest rank in An Garda Siochana.

Detective Chief Superintendent Pat Clavin will take up the role of acting Assistant Commissioner on a temporary basis.

The Meath native has been working with the force for over 38 years, spending some of his career as Superintendent in Cahir, as well as Chief Bureau Officer of the Criminal Assets Bureau.
