Food Safety order on Tipp food outlet lifted

A food safety closure order imposed on a Tipperary food outlet in July has been lifted.

Ricky’s Fastfood and Indian Takeaway at 1 Abbey Street Roscrea was served with the order by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland on the 26th of July under the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations 2010.

It was one of 13 outlets nationwide to be closed by teh FSAI last month however the order on the Roscrea takeaway was lifted on August 1st

Establishments are served closure orders when it is deemed that the place might cause a grave or immediate danger to public health.

Businesses in Dublin, Cork, Meath, and Clare were also affected in July.
