The first Tipperary whiskey may soon be produced

A Tipperary company has taken a huge step towards producing the county’s first whiskey in around two centuries.

Tipperary Boutique Distillery has secured five million Euro in funding which will allow it to develop it’s own distillery near Dundrum House Hotel.

They will use grain from a farm near the village Grange.

Managing director of the distillery Jennifer Nickerson says the money from Steelworks Investment will mean they can become a true “field-to-bottle operation”
