Fine Gael stretch lead over FF in popularity stakes

Fine Gael’s lead over Fianna Fail has stretched to eight-points, according to the latest opinion poll.

Fine Gael’s support has risen by four points to 33 per cent in the Behaviour and Attitudes survey for the Sunday Times since the last similar poll in July

-Fianna Fail dropped five to 25. Sinn Fein is up one to 19 per cent as are the Independents and Solidarity/PBP.

There was no change for Labour at 5%, likewise the Soc Dems and the Greens while the Independent Alliance is down a point.

Fianna Fail leader Michael Martin is still the most popular leader at 53 per cent but Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar has closed the gap – climbing up six points to 49.
