Fears for Tipp businesses supplying Templemore Garda college

There are fears for local businesses which supply goods and services to the Garda college in Templemore.

The college which is currently served mostly by local suppliers, it will now come under the National Procurement Agency, meaning that companies from across the Country will be able to tender in order to secure contracts for goods and services at the college.

There are fears that local companies which had always provided this service could now lose some of their core business.

The college kitchen serves in excess of two thousand meals each day.
