Fears NPF could harm Stereame development

Concerns have been expressed that the Stereame development in Nenagh could be under threat from the National Planning Framework.

The €115 billion investment plan is due to be unveiled by the government this afternoon.

It’s already been widely criticised for focussing on the main urban centres and excluding rural areas in need of investment.

The plan – and its implications for Tipperary – was discussed at length during yesterdays meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District.

Independent representative Seamie Morris says unless there are major changes from the original draft plan then Stereame would be dead in the water.
