Thurles Gardaí are investigating a hit & run which claimed the life of a pedestrian last night.
The incident happened around 10.30pm at Poynestown, Glengoole.

The victim was a 68 year old local man – his body remains at the scene.
The road has been closed between Ballysloe and Glengoole for a technical examination and local diversions have been put in place.
