A memorial run for a young Tipperary boy who tragically passed away this year, is taking place this Bank Holiday Monday.
The Evan Jones Memorial 5km Family Run takes place at 12 noon from the Community Centre, Newport followed by a BBQ and fun for young and old.

Some special guests are also promised, including the Sam McGuire Cup along with some local and national GAA stars.
Registration opens at 10am on the day; you can register on Sunday evening the 29th between 5pm and 7pm also at the community centre.
Speaking to Tipp FM, Evan’s mum Marissa said that they wanted to carry on the community spirit shown at last year’s event, which was organised to raise money for Evan and his family.
