The head of Retail Excellence Ireland’s being hailed as a Messiah for Tipperary town.
David Fitzsimons has given a presentation to this months Cashel – Tipp Municipal District council meeting on how to revitalise town centres.
It was well received by the members and Councillor Denis Leahy says the timing couldn’t be better after the recent CSO figures showed Tipp Town as an unemployment blackspot.
Councillor Leahy’s told Tipp FM News that it’s about time a proper plan was put in place to help bring the West Tipp town back to life.
The next step in implementing a plan is to hold a town hall meeting to get all the stakeholders involved.
Leas Cathaoirleach John Crosse is the incoming chair of the council’s economic development committee and says he’s confident Tipperary will see progress in the next couple of years.
Councillor Crosse is promising to see this is followed through.
