Rearcross had the difficult task of hosting last season’s winners Cockhill Celtic and it was the Donegal side who were 6-0 winners.

Meanwhile, Nenagh AFC lost their matchup against Evergreens, the result came after penalties when the match finished 3-3 at extra time.

Elsewhere, St. Michael’s, the last tipperary team left in the FAI junior cup, discovered their opponents for the last 64.

The Tipp Town side will play Mount Merrion, that’s after the Dublin side were 3-0 winners over Mullingar Athletic.
