A deputation of Councillors from Tipperary are meeting the Transport Minister Shane Ross this lunchtime.
The meeting in Dublin will focus on concerns about the safety of Ardfinnan bridge and future plans for the development of the structure which could restrict pedestrian movement on the bridge
The meeting with members of the County Council has been facilitated by Deputy Mattie McGrath on foot of concerns raised about the safety of the current arrangement on Ardfinnan Bridge.
Traffic lights and a stop go system have been in place there for 2 years now, much tt the frustration of liocals who report long delays at peak times.
And with schools due back in a few weeks, that situation is about to become worse.
Councillor Martin Lonergan says they have been forced to meet with the Transport Minister as officials within the County Council refuse to give them any information on the plans for the bridge
