FAI Chief Executive John Delaney says he had no role in getting the Liam Miller memorial game moved to Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The initial refusal of the GAA to allow the game go ahead at the Leeside venue drew significant criticism.

The association said their rules prohibited the match from going ahead at Páirc Uí Chaoimh – however following negotiations the sell out event will now take place there next month.

John Delaney from Tipp Town told Tipp FM’s Ronan Quirke that while he would do all he can for the Miller family neither he nor the FAI got involved in the discussions on the venue.
