Coveney tells Tipp FM leadership race not over

Simon Coveney says he wants to come back to the Premier County as Taoiseach so he can help the people of Tipperary.

The Fine Gael leadership candidate held a rally at the Horse and Jockey last night after watch his native Cork beating Michael Ryan’s Tipp Hurlers in the Munster Championship quarter-final at Semple Stadium.

Over 200 people packed out the Horse and Jockey’s theatre with local councillors and ordinary supporters joined by the likes of TD Kate O’Connell and Senator Jerry Butimer.

Minister Coveney says he thinks the support he’s being shown in Tipperary can win him back other Fine Gael voters.

Speaking to Tipp FM news he says that if he wins the Fine Gael leadership race he will bring economic growth to the county…
