Tipperary County Council needs to do more to promote GAA tourism in Thurles.
Councillor Jim Ryan asked the council to seek a meeting with GAA headquarters to liaise on ways to promote the sporting history of the town.

Jim Ryan suggested improved signage, creation of an interpretative centre as well as improved accessibility to the existing museum as ways to draw tourists.
The Thurles Councillor says it is a missed opportunity.
