No re-surfacing work will be carried out on the N62 through Borrisokane until a major TII project gets underway.

Tipperary county Council is insisting that it will not waste money making running repair on a road that will be completely redone in the next 12 months.

Local Councillors have repeatedly raised concerns over the condition of the road which has been allowed to deteriorate badly.

But Director of Services with the council Marcus O’Connor says there really nothing much that can be done until Transport Infrastructure Ireland start work.

Director O’Connor says the project’s been delayed by changes that had to be made to their original plans after a public consultation period.
