Council say lessons learned following horse cruelty case

Tipperary County Council say lessons have been learned following the recent incidents of animal cruelty in the Clonmel area.

A number of horses were found dead in a field in Knocklofty last month while others were in a severely malnourished state – these were taken to a pound in Cork.

All 17 were sent to different animal welfare groups

Director of Services with Tipperary County Council Sean Keating says they plan on informing the public on how to report instances of animal cruelty.
