Cost of rent in Tipp continues to rise

The cost of renting in Tipperary is once again on the rise.

According to the latest report from Daft.ie the average rent being paid in Tipperary per month is almost €730.

The cost of renting in the Premier county is up 7.4% on last years’ figures – however that’s below the national average.

The Index also shows that the biggest hike in rent in the county is in one bedroom apartments.

Just 670 homes were available to rent in Munster on February 1st – 20% lower than the same day in 2017.

Nationally, the average rent now stands at €1,227 a month – a new all time high.

This latest report shows rental costs last year rose by 10.4% across the country.

Rents in the capital are €4,500 more a year than the Celtic Tiger peak.
