Competitions start at Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan in Thurles today

Competition kicks off today at one of Munsters biggest Fleadh Ceoil festivals in Thurles.

Over 3,000 people are expected to attend the Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan between today and this Saturday with dancing, music, singing and storytelling silverware up for grabs.

Competitions begin today but festival events have been taking place all week.

Speaking ahead of the jam packed event, Dan Harty from the Munster Fleadh 2024 committee says there will be concerts each night for day trippers.
