Set up in 1970 Clonmel Healthcare is one of the longest established pharmaceutical companies in Tipperary.

It supplies 10.8 million packs of medicine into the Irish market every year, making the company one of the top two suppliers in Ireland.

This expansion will see the consolidation of storage and distribution of pharmaceutical and specialised medical products supplied to pharmacists and medical professionals across Ireland.

According to Jim Hanlon – CEO of Clonmel Healthcare – consumer demand for their products has been steadily increasing year on year, so it was time they invested in the re-sizing of their facility, in addition to their sales office in Dublin.

The 1,800 square metre building – which officially opened its doors this week – will allow the company to greatly expand their capabilities.

Up to now their warehouse was able to cater for 300 pallets – the new larger facility at their Waterford Road site in Clonmel will expand this to 2,400 pallets at any one time.
