History is on the line for Loughmore/Castleiney and Clonmel Commercials this weekend.
The sides meet in this year’s county senior football final on Sunday at 4pm in FBD Semple Stadium.
After winning the senior hurling final last weekend, Loughmore are going for their third ever double whilst Commercials are looking for a record breaking 22nd crown and a third title in a row.
The sides met in the final in both 2020 and 2021, with each team recording a one point win over the other.
Loughmore manager Shane Hennessy is expecting nothing different on Sunday:
“It’s always a good game because both teams want to play football, they go about it the right way and it’s always a good game.
“I’m talking from a Loughmore point of view, everyone enjoys when we go to play Commercials because we know we have to be up for this because we know we’re going to be in a match and a battle and that’s the way it is.
“A draw this year, in the last game we won by a point and the year before they won by a point, there is never anything in it and I don’t think Sunday will be any different.”
Tipp FM will have live commentary of Sunday’s senior final and the intermediate final before it at 2pm between Aherlow and Galtee Rovers with thanks to Galtee Fireplaces, Tipperary Town.
