Clonmel Cemetery committee suggest solution for St Patrick’s Cemetery

Those opposed to the erection of bollards at the entrance to Clonmel’s main graveyard have come up with what they see as a compromise.

The Council say they will be proceeding with the plans to prevent cars from entering St Patrick’s cemetery on health and safety grounds despite strong local opposition.

However Ann Marie Whelan of the cemetery committee says they have come up with a possible solution which they hope the local authority will agree to.
