The West side will now progress to the Munster club intermediate quarter-final to play either Newcastle West or Garyspillane on November 3rd.

Speaking after Sunday’s win, TJ Connolly says they will be hoping to emulate provincial success of the past:

“We’ll enjoy tonight and probably tomorrow but we will refocus and we will go back in on Wednesday night and we will go train because we’re representing the county, representing the town and representing everyone in Tipperary.

“We’ve been down this road once before and we were fruitful in it, we had one of our greatest days against Midleton in Mitchelstown back in 1991.

“Our focus is to go in there, we’re going in to try win it, absolutely.”
