Carrick town hall reopens following €2.4 million revamp

The Town Hall was built in 1843 – there were major problems with access for wheelchair users while the council had outgrown the building.

The historic building on New Street has undergone a major transformation with Municipal District meetings taking place in the Nano Nagle Centre while the work was carried out.

District Administrator Martin Nolan says they welcomed their first customer into the new look building at 9.30 this morning.
