Calls for taskforce to deal with Coty job losses

People in Nenagh are ‘staring down the barrel of a gun’ when it comes to job losses in the Coaty Plant.

It was announced last March that the plant is due to close by the end of this year with the loss of more than 200 jobs.

Cllr Seamie Morris is again calling for a taskforce to be set up, which would include workers, to ensure the response to the closure is adequate.

However, despite repeated requests for updates on the situation, he says councillors won’t get their first update until February…
