Calls for parking permits around Semple to be kept for residents

Residents living around Semple Stadium are warning that the new parking permits set to be issued must be kept for locals only.

A small group of 16 living in the area met again last night – out of a total of 700 residents affected.

No Semple Stadium or Garda representatives attended the meeting, while only one local representitive – Cllr Jim Ryan – attended.

Parking issues have eased somewhat, with barriers being erected on all approach roads to the venue – and new permits are to be issued to residents shortly.
