There are calls for further hotel development in Cashel.
It comes just days after planning permission was granted for a multi-million Euro redevelopment of the iconic Cashel Palace Hotel.
100 jobs will be created in the construction phase at the Cashel Palace Hotel – when complete it will employ 40 full-time and 60 part time staff.
The finished product will see a 61 bedroom hotel right in the heart of the town.
However President of Cashel Chamber Aidan Hynes says with visitor numbers at the Rock reaching a record high there is still a need for more bed space in the town.

As well as 61 bedrooms the revamped Cashel Palace will also have 2 restaurants, a hotel bar, function room and leisure centre.
An integral part of the redevelopment works includes a three-acre town park and the reinstatement of the famed Bishop’s Walk.
Speaking on Tipp Today Aidan Hynes said this will play a key role in drawing the thousands who visit the Rock of Cashel each year into the town centre.
