Calls for flashing signage on M7

There are calls for Transport Infrastructure Ireland to put warning signage on the M7 in North Tipperary.

The stretch of motorway between Moneygall and Birdhill has been the scene of numerous crashes this year.

TII has launched a national awareness campaign reminding drivers of the risks of driving in adverse weather conditions.

However, it has been discovered that this particular stretch of the Limerick to Dublin route is treacherous when hailstones fall in the area.

Cllr Joe Hannigan says the TII need to do more than launching a campaign:
