Calls to ensure carbon monoxide alarms installed

Residents in local authority housing across Tipperary are being urged to contact the council if they don’t have a carbon monoxide alarm.

Most homes have been fitted with the devices at this stage – which detects the silent but potentially deadly gas.

However some people have raised concerns that they haven’t yet received their alarm.

Thurles Independent Cllr Jim Ryan is reminding people to come to the council if they need an alarm installed:
