Call for Tipperary people to carry organ donor cards

There were 327 organ transplants last year, a new Irish record.

260 transplants were with organs from 99 deceased donors.

Organ Donor awareness week is running until April 7th with people being encouraged to get Donor cards and discuss their wishes with their families.

Shane Moloney from Thurles admits his family’s decision to donate his mother Rose’s organs after she passed away last year was a difficult one.
