A Green Party Candidate for the local elections is calling for a Tree strategy to be implemented in Tipperary.
Rose Anne White wants Tipp County Council to hold back on the felling of trees around the county.

She highlighted the importance of trees in in the reduction of air pollution, noise masking and as natural flood defences.
The election hopeful feels it would be easy to implement such a strategy.
