Call for Council to tackle problem tenants

Council officials say they take a common sense approach when it comes to dealing with unruly local authority tenants in Tipperary.

The issue of anti-social behaviour dominated much of this months meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District.

Councillor John Carroll urged the authority to take a zero tolerance approach to tackling the problem.

Administrative officer in the council’s housing section Sean Lonergan says they are in a Catch 22 situation.
