JK Brackens are looking forward to a county senior hurling championship quarter-final.
The Templemore side made it two wins from two last weekend with a 2-26 to 4-14 victory over Clonoulty/Rossmore.
The win, along with their opening round win over Templederry, means Brackens will finish top two in their group for the first time since they earned promotion back in 2019.
Their manager Shane Keegan is delighted with their start to the championship but feels there’s more in his side.
“It’s a very good feeling, we definitely would’ve taken that before it started.
“Arguably one of the most pleasing things about it is I don’t think either of the two performances have been anywhere near complete, nowhere near complete.
“We conceded some sloppy goals there towards the end and obviously we conceded a higher score than we would have liked to have conceded in the first game.
“Sometimes you win two games and you think you’re maxing out, we’re not maxing out, there’s a lot more to us so if we can keep working on things there’s potential to have a good year.”
