The tap water’s not safe to drink for 11,000 local homes, farms and businesses in the Clonmel area.
Uisce Éireann says there were technical problems at the Glenary Treatment Plant last night.

They’ve issued a Boil Water notice for everyone on that supply including parts of Clonmel Town centre and surrounding areas including Cashel Road, Cahir Road and the Ring Road as well the Kilmacomma and Finger Post areas in Co. Waterford.

Spokesperson Jim Fitzgerald says this had to be done after the treatment process was disrupted.
