Bank of Ireland has defended the loss of counter services at its Templemore branch.
Particular concern has been expressed to the move by the business community in the town.

However the bank says only 3% of transactions are now taking place over the counter.
BOI’s Head of Bank Services in Tipperary says similar changes are in line for their other branches in the county.
Speaking on Tipp Today Michael Ryan admitted they don’t generally engage in discussions with local businesses ahead of such a decision.
