Local GRA Rep Tom Finnan says a Garda had to go to hospital for tests after being assaulted just this week in Tipp Town.

He told Tipp Today how a colleague had blood spat into his face last Thursday night while carrying out his duties.

Tom says people don’t realise the dangers Gardai face on a daily basis and there should be a fitting punishment when a member of the force is assaulted.
