Blood donors in North Tipp are being asked to attend clinics in Nenagh this week.

Currently the national bloodstock is an average of just 4.1 days supply across all blood types.

Blood donations were severely impacted by the bad weather so a Pre-Amber alert was issued all hospitals asking them to reduce their blood stock holding.

This enables the IBTS to manage the limited blood supply available more effectively across the health service.

Blood donor clinics are being held in Nenagh Scouts Hall from 4.50pm to 8.10pm each evening from Monday to Thursday.
