Carrick on Suir’s Sam Bennett got his 2023 season off to a perfect start.
The Bora Hansgrohe rider won the opening stage of the Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina and in turn taking the overall lead.

After the 144 kilometre stage Bennett said he had worked really hard in the off-season so it was nice to see that pay off in his first race of the year.
